Perspectives for Self-Determination and De-Stigmatization – Conference on Sex Work organized by maiz and LEFÖ

We as maiz and LEFÖ warmly invite you to our conference on sex work, which will also include LEFÖ’s annual educational seminar.

This year as well, we would like to take the opportunity to bring together sex workers, professionals from counseling centers, self-representation organizations, journalists, public officials, authorities, and interested individuals for a full day of reflection and exchange, right next to Vienna’s Praterstern, a location of both symbolic and thematic importance.

  • Workshop 2 – Migration – Sex Work – (Structural) Violence
  • Workshop 3 – TransR Training

Panel Discussion 14:00 – 16:00 – Health, Self-Determination, Mandatory Examinations

Artistic Interventions from 16:30 onwards featuring the Incredible, Edible, Akynos — founder, director, and interdisciplinary performance artist of the Black Sex Workers Collective, as well as a book reading by Ruby Rebelde from “Warum sie uns hassen” (“Why They Hate Us”).


Admission is free. Pre-registration is required for the workshops.
