Informational event with “Hand in Hand Parenting Hungary”

On 16 January, we had the pleasure of hosting the Hungarian NGO “Hand in Hand Parenting Hungary” (Kapcsolódó Nevelés Egyesület), an association that supports parents in raising their children in Hungary.

Their work focuses on raising awareness of societal gender dynamics and on how a gendered lens permeates all aspects of our lives. Through this awareness-raising work, they aim to support Hungarian women in their empowerment. They work with parents, primarily women, as well as with women from marginalized groups, including women from Roma communities, women with disabilities, women raising children with disabilities, and migrant women.

We spent our time together discussing the history of LEFÖ and the work we do, the political situation in Austria, especially in relation to the social welfare system, and the structural challenges migrant women face in Austria.

We would like to thank the women of “Hand in Hand Parenting Hungary” for taking the time to visit our organization, for the productive conversations, and for sharing their valuable insights!
